Vanguard increases stake in bitcoin treasury strategy firm Strive
Vanguard has increased its stake in Strive Asset Management, a company pursuing a bitcoin treasury strategy. U.Today reported that Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund added 269,200 shares, expanding the holding to about $3.2 million. The fund’s total Strive holding rose to 1.98 million shares, valued at about $23.7 million. Market participants view the move as a sign of wider bitcoin exposure in traditional capital markets.

Asset manager Strive bought an additional 21 bitcoin, raising its total holdings to 19,921 BTC. It bought between July 13 and 17 at an average price of $63,221 each, for about $1.3 million. Cash and cash equivalents rose by $3.3 million to $157.4 million as of July 17. Asset manager Strive bought 18 more bitcoin last week, raising its total holdings to 19,900 BTC, Bitcoin Magazine reported on July 13. The purchases ran from July 6 to July 10 at an average price of about $64,028 per bitcoin including fees, for a total of about $1.2 million. As of July 10, Strive held $154.1 million in cash and cash equivalents and continued to hold Strategy’s STRC preferred shares.
