Korea panel blocks 64 overseas sites generating AI porn and deepfakes
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Communication Deliberation Committee decided to block access to 64 overseas websites that can generate sexual deepfakes and pornography using photos of real people. The panel said many of the sites support Korean and allow users to create deepfakes or pornographic material with small payments. It cited penalties under a special law on sexual violence for producing sexual fake videos and under the Information and Communications Network Act for distributing obscene material.
