Moody\'s assigns B3 credit rating to Sky Protocol in first for stablecoin
Moody\'s has assigned a B3 issuer credit rating to Sky Protocol, which operates the USDS stablecoin, The Block reported on Tuesday. The outlook is stable. The report said this is the first time Moody\'s has rated a stablecoin protocol. Sky said the rating shows growing recognition of its creditworthiness and said it is the only stablecoin protocol with official ratings from both Moody\'s and S&P.

Ripple\'s RLUSD market cap up more than $1 billion this year, ranks third in growth speed
Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD has increased its market capitalisation by more than $1 billion this year, ranking as the third-fastest growing stablecoin. Data cited by The Crypto Basic showed RLUSD’s market-cap increase at $1.07 billion, behind only Tether’s USDT and Anchorage’s USDGO. RLUSD’s market cap has risen to about $2.42 billion, with supply split between Ethereum and the XRP Ledger. Net supply fell over the past week due to burns outweighing issuance.

Tokenised real-world assets stay strong despite DeFi slowdown as use expands
Deposits in tokenised real-world assets (RWA) rose to $7.4 billion in the second quarter of 2026, more than tripling from a year earlier, despite a broader slowdown in decentralised finance, a report said. Over the same period, total DeFi deposits fell about 15 percent, while RWA spot trading volume rose about 220 percent. CoinShares and Token Terminal said tokenised traditional assets are being used in on-chain finance as collateral, yield products and trading assets.
