Digital camouflage shirt to evade AI surveillance unveiled
A so-called digital camouflage shirt has been unveiled that can prevent AI surveillance cameras from recognising the wearer as a person. Berlin-based artist Simon Weckert (사이먼 웨커트) applied patterns targeting the open-source object detection model YOLO, Gigazine reported. In a video he released, YOLO did not react to a person wearing the shirt. Weckert also pointed to Berlin’s public surveillance environment and criticised opacity around such systems.
