Shinhan Financial to add 100 billion won contribution to Shinhan Smile Microfinance Foundation
Shinhan Financial Group said its key affiliates will contribute an additional 100 billion won to the Shinhan Smile Microfinance Foundation. The group plans to expand participation in policy finance programmes for young people and vulnerable groups in provincial areas, including incentives for faithful repayment. It aims to strengthen the foundation as a group-level platform for inclusive finance. Shinhan is also reviewing models linking repayment to savings and investment products.
