Samyang NCChem first-half operating profit 12.1 billion won, up 38 percent
Samyang NCChem said on Aug. 13 its first-half sales rose 28.4 percent from a year earlier to 78.7 billion won. Operating profit increased 38 percent to 12.1 billion won, while net profit jumped 75.9 percent to 12.8 billion won. The company said profitability improved as operating profit grew faster than sales, helped by higher sales of high value-added products and expanded supply of chemical materials for cleaning processes.
