Payward, parent of Kraken, to buy Lithuania\'s Saldo Bank, entering European banking market
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, will acquire Lithuania\'s Saldo Bank, the Financial Times reported on Oct. 14. The deal would take Payward into lending and card issuance. The acquisition amount was not disclosed. Saldo Bank received an EU banking licence in 2021 and offers personal and corporate loans and term deposits. Payward has also pursued U.S. regulatory approvals and made acquisitions this year.
