Atlassian to cut 10 percent of staff, expand investment in AI and enterprise sales
Atlassian will cut about 1,600 employees, roughly 10 percent of its workforce, CNBC reported on March 11, as the company increases investment in AI and steps up enterprise sales. CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes said the move aims to internally fund those investments and strengthen its financial structure, with staff to be notified by email. The company expects the cuts to cost $225 million to $236 million and to be completed by year-end.
