About 300 Boston Dynamics staff petition against robot dog sales to ICE
About 300 Boston Dynamics employees petitioned management to stop a contract to sell robot dogs to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, Ars Technica reported on Oct. 26. Management decided to keep the contract. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security signed a $1.3 million deal with Radeko to modify four Spot robots for ICE. Employees said the risks to the company were too great.
