Lotte Energy Materials to retool Iksan plant 20,000-ton line for AI circuit foil
Lotte Energy Materials has converted its Iksan plant in South Korea into a production base for circuit foil used in AI. During a global strategy meeting held at the plant on Jan. 13-14, it outlined plans to shift about 20,000 tons of battery foil capacity to circuit foil, complete customer approvals early and stabilise quality. The company also reviewed cost and equipment measures at its Malaysia plant and set targets including expanded new customer exposure.
