Webtoon Entertainment secures 60% stake in RI Games Holdings to expand gaming business
Webtoon Entertainment, the parent of Naver Webtoon, said on Tuesday it made a strategic investment in game developer RI Games Holdings. The company will secure a 60% stake when the deal closes and plans to build a game development base using its intellectual property. RI Games Holdings operates two studios, including Grey Games and Offbeat. The companies plan to develop and release multiple new games over four years based on major webtoon IPs.
