LG Display verifies OLED \'100 percent luminance retention\'
LG Display said on Wednesday it has objectively proven the brightness retention performance of its OLED panels. It said UL Solutions verified that luminance retention across its entire lineup of large OLED panels, including TVs and monitors, is 100 percent. The company said LCD panels dim as the test area decreases, while its OLED panels maintained brightness and achieved 100 percent. It also outlined new large OLED TV panel technology and quoted an executive.

LG Display posts Q4 operating profit of 168.5 billion won, up 103 percent
LG Display said it logged fourth-quarter revenue of 7.20 trillion won and operating profit of 168.5 billion won. Revenue fell 8 percent year on year, while operating profit rose 103 percent. EBITDA came to 1.16 trillion won, down 18 percent from the previous quarter. For 2025, the company posted annual revenue of 25.81 trillion won and operating profit of 517.0 billion won, returning to profitability for the first time in four years.

LG Display launches OLED TV panel with 0.3 percent reflectance
LG Display unveiled an OLED TV panel achieving peak brightness of 4,500 nits at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The company said it will operate booths for large OLED and automotive displays from Jan. 6 to 9. It will first show an OLED TV panel using Primary RGB Tandem 2.0, and said the panel achieves 0.3 percent reflectance. It will also present gaming OLED panels and new automotive display concepts.
