Snowflake steps up strategy to run AI work inside its data platform
Snowflake is speeding up a strategy aimed at keeping AI work inside its own platform rather than sending data out to external AI systems. Moves in that direction include a $200 million partnership with OpenAI, the acquisition of Observe AI and the unveiling of Project Snowwork. Snowflake has also integrated Google’s Gemini model into its CortexAI inference service and introduced Snowflake Postgres for AI agents.

C-Platform signs distribution deal with EDB, steps up push into sovereign AI and data platform market
C-Platform, an IT solutions company under the ITCEN Group, said on Sunday it signed a domestic distribution agreement with data company EDB (EnterpriseDB) and will step up its push into the big data analytics and AI data platform market. The company said it will expand into a next-generation data platform business that covers data analytics and AI use. It plans to supply EDB Postgres AI, based on open-source Postgres, across on-premise and cloud.

Snowflake officially launches Cortex Code data-native coding agent
Snowflake said on Tuesday it is introducing products to help companies move data and AI projects from the idea stage into production environments more quickly. The new lineup includes development tools, an environment that supports interoperability and trusted AI agents. It officially launched Cortex Code, a data-native coding agent, and Semantic View Autopilot, an AI-based service that automates semantic view creation and governance. New Snowflake Postgres features are also set for official release.
