Observability competition heats up as Snowflake pushes data platform edge

Snowflake entered the observability market after acquiring Observe in January, putting it in competition with Cisco-owned Splunk, Datadog and New Relic. Jeremy Burton (제레미 버튼), Observe founder and head of Snowflake\'s observability business, said Snowflake’s data platform can strengthen competitiveness by addressing fragmented data and high costs. Four things to watch on the road to an agentic enterprise

Snowflake is using “Agentic Enterprise” as a keyword to represent its vision as it evolves beyond data analytics into an enterprise AI agent platform. CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said at Snowflake Summit 2026 that agentic enterprises are feasible and that the company will focus on supporting AI-agent-led work while removing obstacles. He outlined four elements: enterprise data, AI models, applications and an agentic control plane.
