Korea post office evolves into everyday safety infrastructure beyond delivery
Cases are rising of postal carriers acting as a local safety net, from helping at traffic accidents to stopping fires and preventing voice phishing losses. Korea’s Postal Service said carriers’ roles are expanding beyond reporting incidents to early response and support for elderly and isolated households. It has institutionalised regular home visits through a welfare parcel programme and piloted cash delivery of local subsidies for older residents.

SK Telecom marks 42nd anniversary with customer site visits in Jung Jae-heon\'s first move
SK Telecom said on March 29 it held customer visits on March 27 to mark its 42nd anniversary and founding day. About 80 people, including CEO Jung Jae-heon, executives and customer trust committee members, visited service sites to hear customer complaints. Jung visited a senior college in Pocheon, offering anti-fraud training and device checks. The company said it will reflect feedback in decisions and use AI-based analysis.

Hanpass seeks first overseas remittances IPO amid Middle East uncertainty
Hanpass, a mobile overseas remittance platform targeting foreigners living in South Korea, is pursuing a KOSDAQ listing after winning preliminary review approval from the Korea Exchange. It plans to use IPO proceeds for overseas expansion, service upgrades and new products, including an app for visitors and a loan comparison service. Revenue rose to 55.3 billion won in 2024, though it said accounting changes boosted the figure. It also outlined planned investments in Japan and Australia.
