Western Union\'s USDPT supported for trading on Bybit, expanding stablecoin strategy
Crypto exchange Bybit has begun supporting Western Union’s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDPT. The link marks USDPT’s first entry into a major crypto exchange and expands its use beyond payments to trading and transfers. The companies said USDPT can now be held, traded and sent on Bybit. USDPT was launched in May, issued by Western Union Digital with reserves held at Anchorage Digital Bank, and initially issued on Solana.

PayPal USD partners with TCS Blockchain to target finance in North American logistics
TCS Blockchain has adopted PayPal USD (PYUSD) to improve the flow of funds in North America’s logistics industry, The Block reported on March 3. Under the partnership, carriers can secure financing on the same day after issuing invoices and expect cost savings of 90 percent versus existing billing methods. TCS said carriers can exchange invoice rights for its utility token and convert it into PYUSD on the INX-Republic exchange.

PayPal launches PYUSDx to support app-specific stablecoins
PayPal has unveiled the PYUSDx platform to support developers in issuing app-specific stablecoins, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 27. PayPal is launching PYUSDx in partnership with MoonPay and stablecoin platform M0. The platform allows developers to use PayPal USD-based stablecoins inside apps. USD.ai joined as the first developer. PYUSDx tokens operate separately from PayPal USD and cannot be used in PayPal or Venmo accounts.
