Foundation bitcoin hardware wallet raises $6.4 million, expands to AI agent authentication
Bitcoin hardware wallet maker Foundation raised $6.4 million in a funding round led by Fulgur Ventures. The company plans to expand beyond bitcoin self-custody wallets into identity authentication, two-factor authentication and approvals for AI agents. Foundation has started selling its flagship device, Passport Prime, which combines a bitcoin hardware wallet with FIDO security key and encrypted storage. It is made in the United States and designed to require human approval for sensitive tasks.
