Nvidia shifts AI chip battleground from specs to end-to-end efficiency
Nvidia said it will shift competition in AI semiconductors from chip specifications to end-to-end efficiency across pre-training, post-training, inference and agents. It also disclosed measured results showing Blackwell-based GPUs deliver 55 times faster mixture-of-experts inference than the prior Hopper generation. Nvidia highlighted efficiency gains from a new numeric format and software advances, and introduced curriculum-based post-training results for its Nemotron 3 Nano model. It also said Korean partners are participating and unveiled a Korean-focused synthetic dataset.

Companies run average 140 AI-enabled SaaS apps, Grip Security warns of shadow AI risks
Grip Security released a report analysing 23,000 software-as-a-service application environments and warned of risks from shadow AI outside corporate control. It said 100 percent of the companies analysed operated SaaS environments with embedded AI. Attacks on SaaS rose 490 percent year on year, and 80 percent of documented incidents involved personally identifiable information or customer data. The company warned a single breach could spread across organisations.

Cloudera highlights synthetic data as an alternative to AI privacy risks
Cloudera is promoting synthetic data as a way for companies to reduce privacy risks from using large language models. It said AI is becoming deeply integrated across operations and is evolving with the rise of AI agents. As use expands, concerns grow because data needed to improve models can include personal identifiable information, regulated data and company-specific business context. It outlined three AI development areas where synthetic data matters and cited executives backing its use.
