Toss Payments says not a system hack as 4,131 transactions viewed at one merchant
Toss Payments said a merchant card-information viewing incident did not stem from a hack of its systems. It said authentication credentials used for a payment integration platform were exposed on one merchant’s website, and a third party used them to collect additional information and view the merchant’s payment records. The firm said 4,131 transactions involving 2,671 people were affected and that it notified all impacted individuals.
