Hanwha Investment & Securities signs MOU with Digital Asset Holdings, joins Canton Network
Hanwha Investment & Securities said on April 20 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Digital Asset Holdings LLC, a blockchain infrastructure company focused on global finance. Digital Asset, headquartered in New York, operates the Canton Network, a blockchain adopted by major global financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, Euroclear, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and HSBC. Hanwha said it plans to strengthen competitiveness in digital assets and next-generation financial services through participation.

Jiang Xueqin calls bitcoin \'biggest scam\' and alleges U.S. military link
Chinese-Canadian history commentator Jiang Xueqin has drawn attention after alleging that bitcoin is not a grassroots technology but could be linked to U.S. military institutions. He called it “the biggest scam in existence” and said it was designed as an ultimate surveillance technology. Jiang cited Satoshi Nakamoto’s anonymity, past U.S. military research spin-offs, bitcoin’s public ledger and possible CIA use. Critics say the claims lack concrete evidence.

Comtus Holdings proposes standard for won stablecoin transfer network at Open Blockchain DID Association
Comtus Holdings said on March 10 it presented on standardising a transfer network for won stablecoins at a technical seminar during the Open Blockchain & DID Association\'s inaugural general meeting. Executive director Jong-cheol Jang stressed the need for the standard and proposed a joint proof of concept with member firms. The proposal focuses on infrastructure for safe circulation, including user protection, privacy-focused systems and AML monitoring.
