K Bank expands region-tailored inclusive finance to support small merchants
K Bank is partnering with North Jeolla Province, Pohang and Gumi through special guarantee agreements to provide financial support for self-employed people and small merchants facing difficulties amid local economic weakness. In North Jeolla, the bank will make an 800 million won special contribution and supply 20 billion won in low-interest working capital, with tailored loan limits across three tracks. In Pohang and Gumi, it will contribute 200 million won to each city to implement about 5 billion won in special guarantees, with local governments subsidising interest.

iM Bank to provide 260 billion won in mutual-growth finance to local small merchants
iM Bank said on Feb. 19 it will provide 260 billion won in mutual-growth finance to local small merchants by making special contributions to the Daegu and North Gyeongsang credit guarantee foundations. The programme is backed by 14.2 billion won in contributions, including 8 billion won from the bank and 6.2 billion won matched by local governments. It includes about 110 billion won in guaranteed loans and about 150 billion won in first-half support under matched schemes.

Woori Bank makes 1 billion won special contribution to North Gyeongsang credit guarantee foundation
Woori Bank said on Jan. 29 it signed a business agreement with the North Gyeongsang Credit Guarantee Foundation and made a 1 billion won special contribution to ease funding shortages for small businesses and micro merchants in the province. Using the funds, the foundation will provide special agreement guarantees worth 15 billion won. Eligible firms can receive up to 100 million won in working capital support.
