New York, Wyoming streamline reviews of crypto firms, step up regulatory cooperation

Financial regulators in the U.S. states of New York and Wyoming have agreed to cooperate more closely in overseeing cryptocurrency companies. The New York State Department of Financial Services and the Wyoming Division of Banking signed a memorandum of understanding covering licensing, examinations and enforcement. The deal includes sharing review materials and past examination data, coordinating inspection schedules and pursuing joint examinations. Some firms may qualify for an expedited review track, with a target decision within 6 months.

Market sentiment around Zcash (ZEC) resembles bitcoin in 2019, Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss (타일러 윙클보스) said, as Zcash posts a sharp rebound. Bitcoin rose from about $3,693 on Jan. 1, 2019 to about $13,000 by late June before ending 2020 around $7,195, CoinGecko data showed. Zcash drew renewed attention in 2026 after a drop in February and a rally from May through September, while Gemini broadened support including custody, addresses and node infrastructure.

Ripple targets $10 billion private credit market with institutional lending on XRP Ledger

Ripple is moving to target the global private credit market worth more than $10 billion by adding institutional lending to the XRP Ledger. The RippleX development team plans to work with Clearpool Finance and Cicada Partners to introduce the feature. Loans would use Ripple’s regulated stablecoin RLUSD, while key processes would run on XRPL, requiring XRP for fees and wallet reserves. The plan also includes protocol-level security measures and identity and clawback features, with mainnet timing not yet set.
