KT to tighten network management during summer holiday season, set up on-site repair teams by region
KT will intensively manage communications quality at major tourist destinations and transport hubs to prepare for large-scale travel during the summer holiday season. The company said it will run a nationwide network quality monitoring period from late July to the end of August, covering crowded areas such as beaches and campsites. KT will strengthen real-time traffic monitoring, optimise base station facilities and conduct prevention activities for weather-related damage.

KT CEO Park Yoon-young visits total sales site, focuses on field-first management
KT said on Tuesday its CEO Park Yoon-young (박윤영) visited the Western Regional Headquarters’ total sales centre at KT Gunpo Tower as part of a field-first management approach. The company said Park has focused on on-site management since taking office, including networks, facilities and customer contact points, to minimise a management vacuum and restore customer trust. During the visit, he encouraged staff and checked the redeployment status of specialist personnel in the total sales organisation.

KT launches Park Yun-young leadership, pledges slimmer organization and AI B2B push
KT has named longtime insider Park Yun-young as CEO, approving his appointment at a shareholder meeting. The company is moving quickly on executive reshuffles and organisational streamlining, including a broader regional structure and simplified reporting lines. KT also plans to bolster AI-based B2B business through a new AX division and integrate its media unit into the customer division. It is also focusing on recovery from last year’s unauthorised micropayment incident.
