Open Secure AI Alliance launches with Nvidia and global partners; SK Telecom and Naver join
The Open Secure AI Alliance, a consortium to develop and share open technologies, techniques and tools to protect software and agents in the AI era, is launching under the lead of Nvidia and global companies. Nvidia and founding members plan to jointly develop and share open models, agent harnesses and security tools supporting responsible AI use and improved trust. SK Telecom and Naver are among the participating South Korean companies.

Synology launches DP5200 backup appliance with AI-based security, support for large workloads
Synology said on Tuesday it has launched the 1U ActiveProtect Appliance DP5200 and expanded its ActiveProtect lineup targeting data-protection demand from small and medium-sized businesses. The company said the DP5200 combines workload management and AI-based security features in a compact design. It supports up to 36TB and includes ActiveProtect Manager enterprise backup functions. It supports virtualisation platforms, physical infrastructure, SaaS apps and databases, with additional platforms to be added in APM 2.0.

Demand for AI servers is lifting results at major IT firms, while storage vendors and PC makers also benefit. Memory makers gain from surging needs for high-bandwidth memory used in AI servers. Concerns that AI would hurt software firms appear limited, as many reposition AI as a growth engine.
