South Korea will expand eligibility for the National Integrated Bio Big Data Project to include people not covered by national health checkups. Anyone who wants to participate will be able to join after completing required examination procedures. The Health Ministry and other agencies announced the changes on Oct. 15. The project collects donated health and genetic information for research, with plans for use in Korean sovereign medical AI, drug and device development and precision medicine.
