National Science and Technology Advisory Council appoints first private-sector members under Lee Jae-myung government
South Korea\'s National Science and Technology Advisory Council said on Thursday it appointed 20 private-sector members for the first term under President Lee Jae-myung\'s government. The council is the top decision-making body in science and technology chaired by the president. The appointments comprise 10 advisory members and 10 deliberation members, serving until Feb. 25, 2027. It includes scholars and experts in strategic technologies, basic science and talent development.
