SK hynix, climate ministry step up public-private water positive cooperation
SK hynix will start a water positive project to restore the aquatic ecosystem of the Namdaecheon river in Yangyang, Gangwon Province. The company signed an MOU with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Yangyang County, Korea Water Resources Corp and Korea Environment Corp for an ageing weir improvement project. The initiative will run from 2026 to 2037 and aims to secure river flow and restore fish habitats.
