BitMine holds 4.47% of ether supply, buys 111,942 ETH in a week
BitMine Immersion Technologies bought an additional 111,942 ETH over the past week, a purchase worth 370 billion yen, raising its ether holdings to 5,390,404 ETH, equal to 4.47% of the total supply. The company valued its holdings at about $11.5 billion using an ETH price of $2,134. It is also increasing staking, with 4,712,917 ETH staked as of May 25 and an annualised yield of 2.75%.

BitMine slows ETH buying intensity; Tom Lee says it will not rush
U.S.-listed BitMine Immersion Technologies sharply slowed its pace of Ethereum purchases last week. Its Ethereum holdings stood at 5,206,790 ETH as of May 11, CoinPost reported. The increase from May 7 was about 26,790 ETH, down from its earlier pace of more than 100,000 ETH a week. Chairman Tom Lee said the company would delay its goal of securing 5 percent of total Ethereum supply, adjusting the timeline to the second half of 2026.

BitMine posts big quarterly loss after Ethereum valuation hit
BitMine Immersion Technologies posted a net loss of $3.82 billion in fiscal 2026 second quarter due to valuation losses on its Ethereum holdings, compared with a $1.16 million loss a year earlier. Most of the deficit came from $3.78 billion in unrealised losses. Revenue rose to $11 million, led by Ethereum staking income. The company raised about $1.00 billion through stock sales and expanded its Ethereum holdings to about 4.87 million tokens.
