Japan FSA approves trade settlement stablecoin pilot with three megabanks

Japan\'s Financial Services Agency has approved a fourth pilot project to use stablecoins for cross-border trade settlements, expanding tests into trade finance. The project will be led by TradeWaltz and involves Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, among others. The initial scope covers receivables purchases and settlement between exporters and banks. The pilot begins in September 2026, with a trust-based yen stablecoin expected for commercial use in the fiscal year ending March 2027.

Palo Alto Networks, NTT Data expand AI security partnership, target $1 billion revenue by 2029

Palo Alto Networks and NTT Data Group have signed a multi-year global alliance targeting $1 billion in revenue from joint business by the end of 2029. Under the partnership, Palo Alto Networks\' security platform will be offered to NTT Data\'s consulting, engineering and managed services customers. The deal includes joint investment, a dedicated go-to-market framework, a joint engineering roadmap and NTT Data\'s early access to pre-release functions.
