SK Broadband develops 5-gigabit network equipment to support shift to digital classrooms
SK Broadband has developed a network device that supports 5Gbps-class speeds, double that of existing equipment, and will step up efforts to target the school communications network market. The company said widely used PoE switches in schools support speeds of up to 2.5Gbps, creating traffic bottlenecks in some sections. SK Broadband developed the 5-gigabit PoE switch with NST Information & Communication and added 10Gbps uplink ports and maintenance features.
