Chips&Media launches next-generation MJPEG IP \'WAVE-JP\', integrating APV technology
Chips&Media has launched WAVE-JP, a next-generation Motion JPEG (MJPEG) design asset that integrates Advanced Professional Video (APV) functions into its existing WAVE-J architecture, the company said on Wednesday. It said the new product adds capabilities to address professional video processing demands beyond existing JPEG performance. The standalone MJPEG IP aims to reduce silicon area and power use versus integrated VPUs while maintaining image processing performance.
