Motif registers its own LLM Motif 2 on Microsoft Marketplace

Motif Technologies said on Aug. 11 it will offer its in-house large language model, Motif-2-12.7B (Motif 2), through Microsoft Marketplace. Corporate customers can select Motif 2 and create an API endpoint in a Microsoft Azure environment for use in generative AI services, without building separate infrastructure. The company also said it completed development of a follow-on model, Motif 3, and submitted it for a second-round government evaluation.

Four teams in Korea\'s sovereign AI foundation model project ready for second review with different scale-up strategies

Four teams in the government-backed \"sovereign AI foundation model\" project have completed preparations for a second-round review, industry sources said. Two large companies have built models with more than 600 billion total parameters, comparable in size to major global open-weight models. Two startups opted for models of around 300 billion parameters, focusing on compute efficiency and task execution. All four use a mixture-of-experts structure and are pursuing different approaches to scaling up.
