Japan sets goal to deploy 10 million AI robots by 2040
Japan has set a target to deploy 10 million AI robots domestically by 2040 to counter labor shortages driven by ageing and population decline. The government plans to expand robot use across 18 areas, with six fields designated for initial social demonstration. Companies are beginning deployments, including ZEALS\' wheeled humanoid D1 and Kakuiti\'s plan to introduce a Unitree humanoid as a new employee. Insurers are also preparing related coverage.
