FedEx rolls out electric delivery trucks in Japan, eyes 62 tonnes a year carbon cut
FedEx has introduced electric delivery trucks in Japan as it moves to electrify urban logistics and cut emissions. The company has added 17 vehicles to its delivery network, including Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter and Isuzu Elf electric trucks with about 1.5 tonnes of payload capacity for pickup and last-mile deliveries. FedEx expects the trucks to reduce emissions on dense city routes while maintaining delivery speed and service quality. It estimates annual emissions cuts of about 62 tonnes across the fleet.
