ProShares launches first U.S. ETF tracking CoinDesk 20 index
ProShares has unveiled the first U.S. cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund tracking the CoinDesk 20 index. The ETF is based on the 20 largest digital assets by market value and is rebalanced quarterly to reduce concentration in specific cryptocurrencies and provide diversified investment exposure. Chief Executive Michael Sapir said investors want a portfolio approach as the crypto market matures and that the ETF offers access to the broader market through a single ticker.
