Waymo expands robotaxi service, opens to public in Miami
Waymo has launched a robotaxi service in Miami, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 22. The company plans to expand the service in stages based on a 10,000-person waitlist. The initial operating area spans 60 square miles, including neighborhoods such as Design District, Wynwood, Brickell and Coral Gables, and is expected to extend to Miami International Airport, although the timing has not been announced. Waymo has tested in Miami since last year.
