Meta CTO says AI-saved time should mean more work, bristles at vacation request
Meta Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth said productivity gains from artificial intelligence tools should lead employees to do more work and build more products, not take more vacation. His remarks came during an internal Q&A after an employee asked whether AI efficiency could be linked to more time off, citing the now-suspended “Meta Days” programme. Bosworth later apologised and said his comments were made in jest.
