AI agent suspected in hack that stole internal database within an hour
Cloud security firm Sysdig released a hacking case it believes involved an AI agent making real-time decisions, Cybernews reported on May 29. The attackers exploited a vulnerability in an exposed Marimo notebook, gathered cloud access keys and database credentials, and used them to obtain an SSH key stored in AWS Secrets Manager. They accessed internal servers and extracted an internal database’s structure and contents within minutes. The full chain, from entry to a Postgres dump, was completed within an hour.

Nvidia to invest $2 billion in CoreWeave to support 5 GW AI computing expansion
Nvidia will invest $2 billion in AI cloud company CoreWeave, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 26. Nvidia bought CoreWeave Class A shares at $87.20 per share. The companies plan to jointly build AI factory data centres using Nvidia chips, and CoreWeave will integrate Rubin architecture, Bluefield storage systems and the Vera CPU line into its platform. CoreWeave’s shares rose more than 15 percent after the news.
