Twelve Labs\' Marengo video model supports Amazon Bedrock managed knowledge base
Twelve Labs, a multimodal video understanding AI company, said on Sept. 11 it will provide its Marengo video embedding and search model through Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base. The managed knowledge base is an AWS service that handles data collection, indexing and search so AI can find and use a company’s data. Twelve Labs said Marengo is the first video model listed, enabling customers to search for desired scenes in their own videos using sentences without building a separate search system.

Twelve Labs raises $100 million in additional funding, expands AWS alliance
Video-understanding AI foundation model developer Twelve Labs said on Tuesday it raised $100 million in Series B funding to pursue general intelligence beyond basic video understanding. The round was co-led by NEA and Naver Ventures, with participation from Amazon, Radical Ventures, Korea Investment Partners, Index Ventures, Kadriyu Capital and Red Bull Ventures. Twelve Labs said its total funding has surpassed $207 million and it will deepen cooperation with Amazon Web Services.

Twelve Labs introduces video AI search on Gettyimagebank
Twelve Labs, a global video understanding AI company, said on March 23 it has integrated its multimodal AI model Marengo into Getty Images Korea’s image and video platform Gettyimagebank. The move allows users to search 270,000 pieces of content in natural language, targeting about 100,000 Getty Images Korea customers. The company said Marengo analyzes visual, audio and text information to find context-matching scenes.
