Ethereum whale holding 40,000 ETH returns after 7 years, moves Maker tokens

A long-term holder address that joined Ethereum\'s 2015 ICO and is believed to have amassed about 40,000 ether has moved assets again after nearly seven years of inactivity, but the transfer involved Maker (MKR), not ether. On-chain data shows the investor accumulated 7,020.84 MKR in 2018-2019 at an average price of $828.92. About half, 3,510.42 MKR, was moved to a new address, with no confirmed exchange inflow or sale.

Verus-Ethereum bridge hacked again after two months, $7.54 million in assets stolen

The Verus-Ethereum bridge has been hacked for a second time in about two months, with $7.54 million worth of cryptocurrency stolen, blockchain security firm Blockaid said. It said the attacker exploited the same vulnerability used in the May breach and triggered unsecured payouts on the Ethereum side. CertiK also detected the hack and estimated losses at about $7.53 million, saying the funds were swapped into 3,916.1 ether and deposited into Tornado Cash.
