Hana Financial Convergence Technology Institute, an internal independent company within Hana Financial TI, developed a finance-focused AI foundation model with Saltlux. The model is trained for key functions needed in finance, including understanding financial documents, searching work knowledge, question-and-answer tasks and summarising documents. The institute plans to apply it first to corporate lending, internal controls and counselling support, and later expand its use to an AI search service for customers.

A proposal has been raised that economic indicators alone have limits in assessing a country’s prosperity and quality of life, and that physical pain should be measured regularly. Lucia Macchia of City St George’s, University of London suggested pain is deeply intertwined with economic and social conditions and should be included in national wellbeing indicators. Studies cited link rising pain rates to unemployment, loneliness and inequality across countries.
