South Korea privacy watchdog fines Louis Vuitton, Dior and Tiffany 36.0 billion won for data leaks
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission said it fined Louis Vuitton Korea, Christian Dior Couture Korea and Tiffany Korea a combined 36.0 billion won and imposed 10.8 million won in administrative penalties for violating the Personal Information Protection Act. The commission said the three companies suffered personal data leaks while using SaaS-based customer management services. It ordered them to publicise the sanctions on their websites and stressed firms remain responsible for safeguarding personal information when adopting SaaS.
