From Kakao to Line Yahoo: KakaoGames launches new management setup
KakaoGames has launched a co-CEO management structure as it accelerates a shift to a Line Yahoo-led setup following a change in its top shareholder. Shareholders approved the appointment of Kim Tae-hwan and Lee Si-woo as inside directors, and the board later named them co-CEOs. Yahoo Japan-Line merger firm LY Corporation steps up integration with new Flava cloud
LY Corporation, formed through the merger of Yahoo Japan and Line, has begun a large-scale infrastructure integration to replace heavily customised OpenStack clouds with a new unified cloud called Flava, The Register reported on April 7. The company’s services have about 300 million monthly users. Flava will run on a single OpenStack cluster with more than 500 hosts and over 9,000 VMs. The firm aims to minimise custom patches and automate much of failure handling.

Line Next and JPYC join hands to expand yen stablecoin ecosystem
Line Next said on Monday it signed an MOU with Japan\'s JPYC Co Ltd to use the yen-backed stablecoin JPYC in its services. The companies will broadly review applications of yen-based stablecoins across Line Next services, focusing on adding JPYC to a Line Messenger-based stablecoin wallet. They will explore cooperation on payments, rewards and campaigns, and work on technical linkage, regulatory compliance and a stable usage environment.
