Toyota unveils license-free single-seater electric mobility Land Hopper
Toyota plans to launch its single-seater electric mobility vehicle, the Land Hopper, after spring 2027. The model is classified in Japan as a “specified small motorized bicycle,” allowing people aged 16 and older to use it without a driver’s license, with helmets optional. The three-wheeler has a foldable body for loading into a car and is designed for stability and traction. Speed is limited to 6 km/h in low mode and 20 km/h in high mode.
