Databricks to acquire attack-detection platform Panther Labs
Databricks said on June 16 it will acquire Panther Labs, a startup that offers an AI-based cyberattack detection platform. The deal value was not disclosed. Panther uses filters to remove unnecessary parts of system log data to cut data collection costs and secure more data needed for intrusion analysis. It also supports building detection code with natural-language prompts and suggests code changes when false positives occur. Databricks plans to combine Panther with Lakewatch.
