LS accelerates U.S. localisation and AI innovation amid power supercycle tailwinds
LS set out a two-track strategy to expand its power business while stabilising new businesses despite global uncertainty. Chief Executive Myung Noh-hyun (명노현) told the company’s 57th annual general meeting on March 26 that priorities this year include settling U.S. localisation investment, early stabilisation of battery materials and electric-vehicle parts businesses, and embedding AI-based innovation. The company cited record 2025 results and said it will also seek higher dividends linked to performance.

LS Group steps up new business push beyond power infrastructure into minerals
LS Group is expanding new businesses in key minerals based on its growth platform built in the power infrastructure business. It will foster battery materials such as precursors and nickel sulphate and rare earth permanent magnets as new growth pillars. The group posted record results in 2025, with revenue of 45.7223 trillion won and operating profit of 1.4884 trillion won across 12 companies. It plans to invest 7 trillion won domestically and 5 trillion won overseas over the next 5 years.

LS Mtron opens custom injection moulding validation centre
LS Mtron has opened a technical facility to pre-validate injection moulding plant optimisation. The company said its Global Tech Center lets customers simulate real factory environments and experience the full injection moulding process. Customers can run simulations with on-site engineer support, test and verify ultrafine physical foaming moulding, and receive one-stop services from prototype production to consulting. LS Mtron also launched a visit reservation website and plans to expand operations at five global hubs.
