LS Mtron has opened a technical facility to pre-validate injection moulding plant optimisation. LS Mtron said on Feb. 12 it opened the Global Tech Center, a customer-tailored space to experience injection moulding solutions. It is designed to allow customers that operate injection moulding plants to simulate real factory environments in advance and experience the entire injection moulding process.

Customers can run simulations tailored to their plant layouts and process flows with support from on-site engineers at the centre. The Global Tech Center supports customers in directly testing and verifying ultrafine physical foaming moulding, an eco-friendly lightweighting process. The process, developed in-house by LS Mtron, reduces product weight while maintaining the durability of plastic products. Customers can receive one-stop services ranging from prototype production to technical consulting for applying the technology to production lines.

LS Mtron officially opened a reservation website for visits to the Global Tech Center to expand customer experience. Through the website, customers can book simulations and tests to fit their preferred schedules and apply for advance consultations on technology areas of interest.

The company plans to use the opening of the Global Tech Center as a springboard to expand tech centre operations at five hubs worldwide, including the United States, China, Poland and Mexico, and strengthen its capabilities to respond to global customers.

He said LS Mtron will continue to establish itself as a key partner that enhances customers' manufacturing competitiveness through its differentiated solutions.
