South Korea science ministry to pursue superconductor technology development, aims for self-reliance by 2035

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it will pursue a strategy, including global cooperation, to secure superconductor technology by 2035. It plans to strengthen R&D, build an industry-academia-research cooperation system, expand regional research infrastructure and work with leading global institutes. Plans include building a 16-tesla superconductor conductor test facility at Korea Institute of Energy Technology and launching joint research with CERN, while advancing high-temperature superconductor development.
