SK Signet said it has entered the commercialisation stage for robot-based automatic EV charging technology. A consortium led by the company said it completed a government-backed project to develop and demonstrate a robot-based fast automatic charging system. The technology enables a robot to recognise a vehicle’s position and automatically connect the charging connector. The consortium verified commercial requirements including charging precision, compliance with international communications and payment standards, and user safety through long-term testing of a 400 kW system.
