New book recounts 1,100 days by former Kookbang Ilbo deputy editor
South Korea\'s military media stopped functioning on the night martial law was declared on Dec. 3, the article said. A former deputy editor of Kookbang Ilbo who witnessed the moment has released a book. Gi Kuk-gan (기국간), a professor at Sungkyunkwan University\'s Advanced Defense Research Institute, published the new title on April 10. The book diagnoses three paradoxes—hierarchy, distortion and communication—and proposes alternatives including red-team journalism and reforms to military media governance.
