Amazon overhauls four Kindle models with flatter design and color model
Amazon has overhauled its Kindle e-reader lineup, unifying design and controls across standard, Paperwhite, color and kids models while reducing thickness and weight. It adopted a flat front design and moved the power button to the upper right. The company updated the base 16GB Kindle, a 32GB model, Paperwhite variants and the 7-inch Colorsoft, and expanded kids offerings. It also introduced a Bluetooth page-turn remote and new covers.

Apple may unveil first water-resistant iPad, next iPad mini set for October overhaul
Apple may introduce its first iPad with a water-resistant design in the second half of 2026, with the next iPad mini seen as the likely candidate. The model is expected to adopt an OLED display and an A19 Pro chip. A redesign could include a new audio structure that removes speaker grilles, potentially using vibration-based speakers. Amazon to end support for older Kindle devices
Amazon will end support on May 20 for Kindle models released before 2012. Users will still be able to read e-books already downloaded, but will no longer be able to buy or download new titles on the devices. After the change was emailed to users, criticism spread in online communities, TechRadar reported. Users cite continued functionality, the single-purpose nature of e-readers and concerns about electronic waste. Some plan to use sideloading as a workaround.
